Terms of Service

1. What ShadeDash is

ShadeDash provides AI-generated beauty product opinions (“verdicts”: Buy, Maybe, or Skip), personalized against the profile and product collection you save in the app. We also identify products from photos and link to retailers where you can buy them.

2. Not professional advice

Verdicts are opinions generated by artificial intelligence. They are not dermatological, medical, or professional beauty advice. We do not know your full skin history, allergies, or sensitivities. Always patch-test new products and consult a dermatologist or other qualified professional about concerns such as reactions, irritation, or persistent skin issues. You use our verdicts at your own judgment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and subscribe. By using ShadeDash you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.

5. Subscriptions, credits and billing

• ShadeDash is free for up to 3 verdicts per calendar month.
• ShadeDash Monthly ($4.99/month) unlocks unlimited verdicts. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page — access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer partial-month refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it.
• Beta testers and promotional access may be granted via coupon codes at our discretion.
• Verdict packs (credits), when offered, are digital consumables: they have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, are non-transferable, and do not expire. Credits may be used only in the app to generate verdicts; unused credits are not refundable.

6. Affiliate links

Some product links in ShadeDash are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence verdicts — a “don’t buy” verdict stays a “don’t buy” regardless of commission. This disclosure also appears on every verdict that contains a shoppable recommendation.

As an Amazon Associate, ShadeDash earns from qualifying purchases. Verdicts do not guarantee that any product will work for you, and any prices shown or referenced are not guaranteed to be the lowest available market price.

7. Your content

Photos you upload are sent to our AI provider solely to identify products and generate your verdict; we do not retain your photos after processing. Profile details, collection items, and verdict history you save remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process this content only to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at unreasonable volume, circumvent usage limits or billing, or upload unlawful content. We may limit or terminate access for violations.

9. Intellectual property

The ShadeDash name, design, and site content are our property (or our licensors’). You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the service except as permitted by law. AI-generated verdict text is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT VERDICTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHADEDASH AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING ALLERGIC REACTIONS, SKIN IRRITATION, OR DISSATISFACTION WITH ANY PRODUCT — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShadeDash and its operators from claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

13. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.
